Grip where you expect to slip! 

Welcome to the world of Icebug, where slippery conditions make it more fun to get out. 

We are a Swedish outdoor footwear brand, specializing in traction and providing grip where you expect to slip. We have been in the business for 21 years with the mission to produce footwear that gets people out more. Simultaneously we are working hard to be a leader in transforming our industry to be completely sustainable. 

As you may have guessed, fast fashion is not for us. We want to hold on to loved models for a long time and make them classics rather than releasing new products and collections seasonally. This is why we’re looking to recruit a panel to help us develop and improve an old favorite among walkers and hikers: the waterproof, durable, and versatile Rover. 

Rover has a durable upper, an RB9X rubber outsole, and a GORE-TEX® membrane to help it withstand all the challenges that weather can bring. Its outsole provides a comfortable roll in the front, which gives a little extra kick in the step and a smooth feeling stride! Rover RB9X features the patented Boa® Fit System, which ensures that the shoe fits exactly as it should. The outsole is made of Icebug's grip rubber RB9X and features a rough sole pattern that grips securely on both wet and dry surfaces.

RB9X® – Rubber 9 Extreme is our own rubber compound development that sets a new standard in providing friction. Lab tests (SATRA) show that RB9X® outgrips the competition, but still matches the durability of an asphalt running shoe. In the real world, that means much more reliable traction in wet and slippery conditions and on challenging surfaces like rocks.

Application phase: October 7 - October 23, 2022  

Testing period: roughly mid November until mid December 2022

The testers: 

The ideal tester loves to be outdoors. During the testing period, he or she will have the time to test the shoe  during hiking  tours and provide feedback on how it could / should be improved in his /her opinion.
